Meet Us Venita Phillips

Now, I must admit, when I’m not in the office, riding my bike in the mountains is my favorite getaway.  I love taking my bike and disappearing into the Alps or the Pyrenees.  I love the freedom to be with nature, relax and become one with the dirt and grit that accompanies the joy of being outdoors. And Nestle, my 70 pound chocolate lab would agree on my love of the outdoors, after all, she and I share the same birthday and hair color.  

While the outdoors is my escape from the city, when I’m home I put my energies into another passion.  Helping others has a special place in my heart.  And listening to and acting on the needs of others is what truly makes a difference in their lives.  

As a former member of the board of directors and a current advisory board member for Be An Angel, Inc., I am an advocate for serving the multiply impaired and profoundly deaf children of Houston and surrounding areas.  Our organization has built barrier free parks, purchased adaptive equipment for individuals and schools and supported initiatives to build an audiological testing facility in Conroe, TX. We also developed a program to purchase liquid nutritional supplements for children in the Aldine ISD and provided hearing aids for students whose parents could not afford to purchase the equipment.

I carry my love of helping others and listening to their needs into my role as Vice President and Trust Officer with Kanaly Trust. 

I joined Kanaly Trust in 2004 and I most appreciate how the company treats you, the client, like family.  I see each of you as a member of my own family and strive to treat you with same respect and care I would share with my own parents and grandparents.
